Best of Emmys dresses 2018

Emmy Award goes to people in the American television industry. The first Emmy statuette (a woman with wings holding an atom) was given in 1949 to Shirley Dinsdale. The person who received the most Emmys is Julia Louis Dreyfus with 11 wins and 24 nominations.
On 17th September the 70th Emmys took place in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. It was hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost and the whole event was flooded with celebrities. Here you can find this year’s list of wins and nominees.

Let’s take a look at what people wore to the red carpet.

Vanessa Hudgens certainly found her version of the little black dress that was designed by SemSem. The huge bow makes it look very chic and dramatic.

My fashion dreams

When I go shopping or pack for a vacation I always make lists not to forget anything. And sometimes I make lists of things that I truly wish for. Just like other fashion enthusiasts I have fabulous things in my imaginary closet. But what are the most desired things I want to own or do that are related to fashion?

First of course I once would love to go to the Fashion Week in Paris.

I would love to wear an haute couture dress such as this one from Dior…:

… and wear the perfect Manolo Blahnik’s to the dress:

There is never enough of shoes, bags and accessories, so I would have a pair of shoes from Hungarian designer, Reka Vago:

I would love to have quality luggage from Louis Vuitton:

I would love to have a classic Burberry scarf…:

… a Birkin Bag from Hermés…:

… a tweed jacket from Chanel…:

… and the perfect black dress from Givenchy:

This list may seem to much or just a cliché, but I think there shouldn’t be excuses for what we wish to wear, because it expresses who we really are.

Best of Met Gala dresses 2017

Last year’s Met Gala’s theme was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons, which seems a bit weird because the Japanese designer’s work is more like ‘antifashion’. She uses destroyed garments so her collections often consists of absurd dresses. Even so she is considered a brave and groundbreaking artist and has the support of Alexander Wang, Donna Karan and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Let’s take a look at last year’s very creative outfits:

Cara Delvingne was wearing a Chanel suit and her whole outfit had an alien kind of vibe.

The queen of every year’s Met Gala, Rihanna fulfilled the absurd theme the best with a dress from not other than Comme des Garçons itself.

Rita Ora looked fabulous in this ribbon dress from Marchesa.
